Ingredients:
200g caster sugar
200g softened butter
4 eggs, beaten
200g self-raising flour
1tsp baking powder
1-2tbs Peanut butter
2-3tbs cocoa powder
Method:
1. Heat the oven to 180o to. Butter two 20 cm sandwich tins or line with non-stick baking paper.
2. In a large bowl mix together the butter and sugar until creamy. Then add eggs, self-raising flour and baking powder together. Mix well until smooth, soft batter. Divide the mixture into two separate bowls, add the peanut butter into one mixture and the cocoa powder in the other.
3. Smooth the surface with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Bake for about 20mins until golden and the cake springs back when pressed.
4. Turn onto a cooling rack and leave to cool completely.
